5700 WILSHIRE BOULEVARD OFFICES

The goal was the redesign of ordinary speculative office space in the Wilshire corridor into a highly creative work environment for a growing professional services firm. Careful planning captured all usable space. Simple planes of drywall suspended from the structural framework create "clouds" that float like paper to transform the stiff aspect of the building and to define the work areas, all oriented to outside courtyards. Large clerestories and punched openings allow views and natural light. The "clouds" also function as large reflectors to maximize indirect lighting.
