Victoria Gardens establishes a traditional downtown for the growing Los Angeles suburb of Rancho Cucamonga. The project includes retail, residential, office and civic facilities, organized in an orthogonal grid that creates open-air blocks carefully integrated with the adjacent residential community. The low-scale buildings, courtyards, paseos, parks and plazas provide a comfortable pedestrian environment. Local architectural models inspire the stylistic diversity, giving the appearance of a project built over time. Variations in the landscape emphasize the distinctive spaces and urban setting.
