Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the 1929 Felipe de Neve Branch library in the Lafayette Park neighborhood of Los Angeles was returned to public use following its restoration, expansion, and seismic upgrade. Working with City officials and local artists, the architects designed an addition that echoes the formality and simplicity of the original plan, complementing the historic structure while providing seamless interaction between the reading, classroom, supervision and reference desk areas.
